THE TUDDENHAM ROAD DENTAL SURGERY
Bicon dental implants and Nobel Biocare dental implants are the two main implant systems we use here at Tuddenham Road. Through his training and experience Mr Paraskevopoulos has found that most cases of tooth loss can be restored with either of these systems, and will present with differing factors that suit one system over the other.
If you are missing one or more teeth and are looking for a more permanent solution to fill the gap Bicon implants or Nobel Biocare dental implants are the way forward.
BICON DENTAL IMPLANTS
Here at Tuddenham Road Dental Surgery, we are able to offer this fantastic solution.
The Bicon dental implant serves as the replacement of the root section of a missing tooth. It is made up of surgical grade titanium alloy to exacting measurements.
After 2-4 months of the implant being placed it integrates with the bone and becomes a secure anchor for a replacement tooth, fixed bridge, removable partial denture or a complete denture.
Mr Paraskevopoulos will carry out the placement of your implants, he has a master's degree in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, and has completed a 1 year certificate in implantology.
The placement of an implant typically takes approximately 90 minutes and is performed under local anesthetic. A consultation appointment is required, where the treatment and costs will be discussed in further detail. Call for advice and appointments.
This is an example of the results that can be achieved.
NOBEL BIOCARE DENTAL IMPLANTS
In some ways Nobel Biocare dental implants are similar to Bicon dental implants.
They are an artificial tooth root made of titanium which replaces the missing tooth. The dentist inserts the implant into the jaw bone where the titanium then integrates with the bone. This integration process is typically allowed to occur over a 2-4 month period after which the dentist can prepare for and place the crown (the visible part of the tooth) on to the implant.
The procedure is performed under local anesthetic and as like Bicon dental implants takes approximately 90 minutes. Mr Paraskevopoulos is assisted by two of the practices GDC registered nurses for the placement of the implant into the jaw bone.
The key differences between the two dental implant systems we favor here at Tuddenham Road Dental Surgery are:
- Bicon dental implants are tapped into their final position in the jaw bone, unlike Nobel Biocare dental implants that are driven into their final position with a rotary device.
- Nobel Biocare implants are usually longer in length where as Bicon dental implants offer a shorter but wider diameter. This means they are better suited to different places within the jaw bone.
Both systems are well established within the Dental industry and enjoy high success rates.
