Millions of adults are unhappy, self-conscious or even embarrassed about their crooked teeth, often covering up their smile. They live with the misconception that they are either too old for braces or that they will have to wear unsightly metal braces for 2 years.

Fast Braces cosmetic brace system has been developed to offer adult patients complaining of crowded, spaced or uneven teeth a straight forward solution that fits in with their lifestyle.

Treatment time is typically less that specialist orthodontics. Teeth are gently moved using light forces to correct the levelling and alignment.

Orthodontic treatment offers a conservative approach to a balanced, symmetrical smile. To achieve the same with other cosmetic treatments such as veneers, can be both financially and biologically expensive as the teeth will need to be drilled extensively and porcelain restorations made by a specialist laboratory.

Why Fast Braces as opposed to specialist orthodontics?

Conventional braces are still the gold standard for addressing malocclusions. We will always offer referral to a specialist orthodontist, when discussing treatment with a patient who is interested in braces.

Specialist treatment takes typically 18-30 months of wearing metal braces to level, align and tilt the teeth to achieve ideal occlusion. As adults, our teeth usually have some worn surfaces and if the teeth were crooked before, your straight teeth will have uneven edges which will need to be corrected by your dentist after your orthodontic treatment.

Fast braces accept the way your back teeth meet and concentrate on addressing your main complaint. If you have occlusal disturbances relating to your back teeth that can affect your jaw joints or the stability of your teeth then we would recommend referral to a specialist who will correct your bite by also moving the back teeth (molars).

By doing the orthodontics in-house using the Fast Braces system we are in control of tooth movements and so can plan the treatment with the final cosmetic result in mind. We will then do any further restorations or recontouring of the teeth when the braces are removed.

Your treatment is completed, on average, within 4 - 9 months. On completion a whitening procedure is provided to brighten your new smile at no extra cost!

As with all orthodontic treatment a retainer and/or fixed retention is required to maintain your perfect smile. If you do not wish to have a bonded retainer placed behind your teeth you can wear a removable appliance to prevent your teeth from moving back to where they were before .
